Overview
Dubai Knowledge Park (DKP) is a TECOM Group community focused on education, training, and human resource development. Located in the Al Sufouh district alongside Dubai Internet City and Dubai Media City, DKP provides a purpose-built environment for universities, training institutes, professional development providers, and HR consultancies. The park hosts branches of international universities and over 500 business partners.
License Types
DKP offers professional licenses for education consultancies, training providers, and HR firms; commercial licenses for companies trading in educational materials and technology; and institutional licenses for universities and vocational training centres. Freelance permits are available for independent trainers, tutors, and consultants.
Costs
License fees at Dubai Knowledge Park start at approximately AED 15,000 for a professional license. Commercial and institutional licenses are priced based on activity scope and facility requirements. Office and classroom space is available in configurations ranging from hot desks to full-floor campus facilities. Visa allocation costs are additional per employee.
Setup Process
Applicants register through the TECOM e-services portal, select their business activity from the education and training category list, reserve a trade name, submit incorporation documents, secure office or classroom space, and complete visa formalities. The process typically takes five to seven business days for standard applications, with institutional setups requiring longer due to accreditation reviews.
Benefits
DKP provides 100 percent foreign ownership, zero percent corporate and personal income tax for qualifying free zone activities, full capital and profit repatriation, and a dedicated ecosystem of education and training organisations. The TECOM community model provides shared services, networking events, and cross-community collaboration.
Location and Infrastructure
Dubai Knowledge Park is situated in Al Sufouh, off Sheikh Zayed Road, with direct access via the Dubai Metro (Internet City/Knowledge Village stations). The campus includes modern office buildings, lecture halls, training facilities, student housing nearby, cafes, and retail outlets. The area benefits from proximity to Dubai Marina and JBR.
Key Sectors
DKP supports higher education institutions, corporate training providers, language schools, professional certification bodies, HR consulting firms, EdTech companies, coaching and mentoring services, and e-learning platforms. The park serves as the UAE’s primary hub for human capital development.
